Most trekking routes end in Cajatambo, a small Andean town located at around 3,000 m (9,840 ft).

Where is Pativilca?

Pativilca is a small town located 15 minutes before Barranca, on the Pan-American Highway.
It is the main transfer hub for buses returning to Lima or Huaraz.

If you want to take public transportation directly after the trek, we recommend boarding the bus in Pativilca instead of entering Barranca, because Barranca has heavy traffic and delays are common.

  • Best used only as a transfer point
