How Much Does It Cost to Enter the Cordillera Huayhuash?

Starting in 2024, the entrance fee to the Cordillera Huayhuash is S/ 280 SOLES per person. Each rural community charges the corresponding fee in its sector. Here is the updated list of entrance fees for Huayhuash:

  • Llámac: Cuartelwain Campsite and part of Jahuacocha S/ 50.00
  • Pocpa: S/. 30.00
  • Queropalca: Mitucocha and part of the campsite in Carhuacocha S/. 40.00
  • Quisuarcancha: Part of the Carhuacocha campsite S/ 30.00
  • Tupac Amaru: Huayhuash Campsite S/. 30.00
  • Uramaza: Visit to Viconga Lagoon and use of the hot springs S/. 20.00
  • Huayllapa: Cuyoc, Cutatambo, Guanacpatay, and Huatiaq Campsites S/. 50.00
  • Pacllón: Qashpapampa Campsite and part of Jahuacocha S/ 30.00

Where and How to Pay the Entrance Fee?

The entrance fee can be paid at the community’s checkpoint, at control posts near the campsites, or directly at the camping areas. Make sure to bring cash, as there are no options to pay by card on site. It is also advisable to keep your payment tickets since you may be asked to show them during your trek.

What Does the Entrance Fee Include?

The payment of the entrance fee covers several important aspects:

  • Maintenance and Conservation: Funds are allocated for the preservation and cleaning of the reserved area.
  • Infrastructure: Improvement and maintenance of trekking routes, campsites, and restrooms.
  • Security and Management: Hiring personnel for monitoring and management.
